个人研究主要是发展金属催化和光催化的策略高效构建有机氟化合物（包括含氟药物切块以及含氟材料分子），发表SCI学术论文16篇，比如Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.，Chem. Commun.，Chem. Asian J.，Tetrahedron，Tetrahedron Lett.，其中包括3篇共同通讯作者论文；2015年7月进入深圳大学光电工程学院师从苏陈良教授做博士后研究工作，主要从事二维材料的可控合成、修饰及有机催化应用研究；2015年11月以访问学者的身份进入新加坡国立大学Loh Kian Ping教授课题组从事石墨烯、MoS2及C3N4等二维材料的修饰及碳催化和光催化有机反应研究。多次参加学术会议，提交会议论文、墙报并作口头报告。目前，获得国家级、校级等荣誉多项，如：天津大学第十三期学生科技英才奖（2013年）；天津大学李曙森校长奖学金奖（6/500）（2012年）；博士研究生国家奖学金奖（2012年）；天津大学优秀人才培育基金研究生创新奖（2012年）；天津大学科技创新先进个人奖（2011-2012学年）；天津大学优博基金提名奖（2012年）；天津大学三好学生奖（2011年）。
